Week 2 – Pootlers Design Team

Week 2 .   I have fallen for this stamp set in a big way, and have called this card Watercolour Love

Week 2 – Watercolour Love- Crafting Forever

I have used the pot of brushes and the made with love stamp stamps for this project .

The  card base is made from Old Olive Card Stock  11-1/2 x 5-3/4 inches (29 x 14.5 cm) and scored at  5-3/4 inches (14.5cm) to make a 5-3/4 x 5-3/4 card (14.5×14.5cm)

The Basic Grey card stock layer measures 5-5/8 x 5-5/8 inches (14×14 cm)

The next layer is from the Color Theory  DSP Stack  5-1/2 x 5-1/2 inches (13.8 x 13.8 cm)

The Stamping

I have used a technique called masking to create my picture, so the stamp looks as if it is front of the pot.

Step 1, stamp the stamp at the top of a post it note, then cut it out
Step 2. Re stamp the stamp were you want it placed on your watercolour paper
Step 3, cover your stamped image with the post it note mask
Step 4 , Stamp your pot so it goes over your masked image .
Step 5, Remove the post it note to reveal your image

Watercolouring with Stampin Pads

All you need to do. – Whilst your stampin pad is closed – press down on the lid so it picks up the colour. Then you can pick up the colour using an aqua painter, and use like a brush to colour your image.

When was image is dry I used the aqua painter to make the edges of the paper wet then tore the paper to make the rough edges.

Week 1- December Pootler’s Design Team

I feel so privileged to be asked to take part in the Pootler’s,  design team for December 2017.

Thank you Sam, for inviting me.

I will be giving you ideas every Thursday in December  2017, using the same stamp set called CRAFTING FOREVER.

I’m really looking forward to the challenge, as its such a fun set to use.

So this is week 1, and we are Cut out to be Friends.

Crafting Forever – Cut out to be Friends

Card Measurements

I have used  Thick Whisper White as my card Base, 8-1/4 x 5-7/8 inches (25 x14.7 cm) scored at 4-1/8 inches (14.9 cm)  and used in the landscape view.

I have then layered with Berry Burst 5-6/8 x 4 inches (14.7 x 10 cm) and Whisper White stock 5-1/2 x 3-3/4 inches (12.5 x 10.2 cm).

Whats Next

I do love  heat embossing, so used the Versamark to stamp the scissors then covered with silver embossing powder the used the heat tool to do its magic.

The layer still looked as if it needed something. So more colour was added with the Berry Burst  and Smoky Slate stampin markers, to 1 image of the scissors.

Crafting Forever – Cut ou to br friends

To make this image stand out further I added glue from Fine Tip Glue Pen and let it dry,  to the handle and Wink of Stella to the blades.

To Finish

I stamped the sentement in Berry Burst, on Whisper White  then cut it out using the big shot with an oval from the Stitched Framelets. The Berry Burst layer was using Layering oval framelets.

I have had a great time making this card. Why don’t you have a go.

See you next week
